Technoprom 2022: 14 organizations joined the AI Ethics Code

Fourteen Russian companies and institutions, including the Ministry of Digital Development of the Novosibirsk Region, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Novosibirsk State University, took part in the signing ceremony of the AI Ethics Code on Tuesday at the Technoprom 2022. The ceremony of joining the Code was attended by Minister of Digital Development of the Novosibirsk Region Sergey Sergeevich Tsukar, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of RAS Valentin Nikolayevich Parmon, Rector of Novosibirsk State University Mikhail Petrovich Fedoruk, Chairman of the Siberian Bank of Sberbank and Head of the working group “Normative Regulation” of the AI Alliance, Managing Director of the Sberbank AI Regulation Center Andrey Neznamov.

“The expansion of participants of the Code by Novosibirsk companies clearly demonstrates a responsible attitude towards AI technologies, shows the readiness for development and the desire to create useful, convenient and safe services and developments,” said the Minister of Digital Development of the Novosibirsk region Sergey Tsukar.
Valentin Parmon, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in his speech emphasized that today it is incredibly important to develop application of AI technologies in all spheres of the economy to maintain leadership in this field. The industry sector was particularly noted.

“New technologies have become incredibly integrated into our lives. AI technology is all around us. Even today you and I will be joining the Code electronically – through GosKluch!” said Mikhail Fedoruk, Rector of Novosibirsk State University.

The following fourteen companies and institutions are new signatories to the Code: Ministry of Digital Development of the Novosibirsk Region, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk State University, DoubleGIS LLC, Interfax Digital Solutions JSC, Artificial Intelligence Cluster ANO, VimpelCom PJSC, Kancast LLC, Novosibirsk Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Expasoft LLC , Information Security System LLC, Center of Personalized Medicine LLC, BECAP IT LLC, Robotech LLC.

The next round of joining will take place at the Eastern Economic Forum. A big event is also planned for federal ministries – more than 40 have expressed interest in joining the Code. More than 100 organizations have joined the Code so far.
