As part of the international conference on artificial intelligence AI Journey, new participants – the largest members in the Russian technology market – joined the Code of Ethics in the Field of Artificial Intelligence, developed at the AI Alliance platform. The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Alexander Vedyakhin.
The following 12 organizations were among the new signatories of the code: Datana, Factory 5, GlobalTruck Group of Companies, GeomirAgro, Digital Platform KAMAZ, Medsi Group of Companies, Samolet, Sibur, Severstal Management, Russian Railways, Rusagro Technologies, Uralchem.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia:
“In Russia, the key guideline for the development of safe AI solutions was the Code of Ethics in the Field of Artificial Intelligence, which has been developed last year. Today, 12 more companies have joined it, and in total 113 organizations from all over the country have already signed. In our understanding, the development of AI technologies in Russia should focus exclusively on human interests, quality of life and well-being. It is because of the citizens’ trust that we, and the participants of Alliance and the Code of Ethics will continue to create a new digital ecosystem for the technological development of our country.”

“Over the year since the adoption of the Code of Ethics, the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence has acquired the status of the most important platform for open dialogue between market representatives, and we are glad that all new signatories are joining the document, joining the Commission for the implementation of the code and participating in the development of current ethical standards in the field of artificial intelligence.”
The Code was developed and improved on the platform of the Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence together with representatives of the academic community with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation. Among the first to sign the document were Sberbank, Yandex, VK, Gazprom Neft and RDIF, as well as other leading companies and institutions.
