The signing ceremony of the AI Code of Ethics was held at the Forum of the Future in Yekaterinburg

As part of the Forum of the Future, which took place on October 24-26 in Ekaterinburg, leading organizations of the Urals joined the Code of Ethics in the field of AI: SKB Kontur, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Urals Center for Security Systems and the Institute of Radioelectronics and Information Technologies-RTF of the Urals Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.

Andrei Neznamov, Chairman of the National Commission for the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in AI, said:

“Today Russia is one of the leaders in the direction of ethical application of AI. The norms of our Code of Ethics in the field of AI are based on the human-centered principle, according to which technologies should contribute to the realization of all potential human capabilities. Our common task is to make sure that the developments are as safe and ethical as possible”.

The Russian Code of Ethics in the field of AI was developed by the AI Alliance together with representatives of the academic community with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Among the first to sign the document were Sber, Yandex, VK, Gazprom Neft and the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as well as other leading companies and institutions. The Code of Ethics in the field of AI has already been joined by 42 foreign participants from 24 countries. In total, there are over 850 signatories to the Code.
