On the margins of the AI Ethics Forum, the second award ceremony for the promotion of ethics in the field of AI was held. The awards were presented by Tatiana Matveeva, Head of the Russian Presidential Administration’s Department for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications Infrastructure, and Andrey Neznamov, Chairman of the National Commission on AI Ethics.
The laureates were determined in two nominations. The winners in the nomination for contribution to the development of ethics in the field of AI were three regions:
-Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra
-Irkutsk region
-Sakhalin region,
as well as four organizations:
-“Medical Screening Systems” Ltd. (Celsus)
-Ftizisbiomed Ltd.
-National Research Tomsk State University
-ANO Institute of Artificial Intelligence.
For individual contribution to the development of ethics in the field of AI were awarded:
-Ugleva Anastasia, Professor, Deputy Director of the Center for Transfer and Management of Socio-Economic Information of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, member of the Commission for the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in the field of AI;
-Mikhail Koroteev, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, member of the Commission for the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in the Field of AI;
-Ilya Pomerantsev, CEO of Celsor, Director of the Center for IT Expertise Development, member of the Commission for the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in the Field of AI;
-Fokina Sofia, manager of the Center for Human-Centered AI at Sberbank, executive secretary of the Commission for the Implementation of the Code of Ethics in the Field of AI.
The awards recognized the laureates’ efforts aimed at shaping a responsible and ethical approach to the use of artificial intelligence.
