The National Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) has been signed by nine new participants. The signing ceremony took place during the Amur Economic Forum held in Blagoveshchensk.
Denis Zemnukhov, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Amur Region, took part in the ceremony:
“The solemn ceremony of signing the Code of Ethics in the field of AI is always a landmark event, confirming the aspiration of organizations from different spheres to the responsible development of AI technologies. Voluntary adherence to the principles of AI ethics set out in the Code is not just a formality. It is a promise to future generations that artificial intelligence will aim to improve quality of life and uphold ethical principles.”
Signatories included the Amur Region Ministry of Digital Development and Communications; Amur Region Ministry of Justice; Amur Regional Court; Amur State University; Far Eastern State Agrarian University; Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University; Amur State Medical Academy, All-Russian Research Institute of Soy and Infocom.
The National Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence was developed on the platform of the Alliance in the field of AI together with representatives of the academic community with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Among the first to sign the document were Sber, Yandex, VK, Gazprom Neft and the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as well as other leading companies and institutions. The Code of Ethics of Artificial Intelligence has already been joined by 27 foreign participants from 20 countries. In total, there are over 370 signatories to the Code.
The Artificial Intelligence Alliance Association unites technology companies for the development of artificial intelligence. Among the participants of the association are Sber, Gazprom Neft, Yandex, VK, RDIF, SIBUR, Uralchem, Rusagro, Severstal, Airplane, etc.
