The AI Challenge brought together young AI enthusiasts from around the world

The results of the international artificial intelligence competition for high school and college students were announced at the AI Journey conference.

The AI Journey international conference (“A Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence”) hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the AI Challenge, an international artificial intelligence competition for children and young people. The competition was organized by Sber and co-organized by the Artificial Intelligence Alliance. The winners included 12 teams in the “High School Students” and “College Students” categories, as well as 18 participants in the individual tracks “Beginners,” “High School Students,” and “College Students.”

This year, 10,000 high school and college students from 75 countries around the world participated in the competition, including Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Ethiopia. In Russia, the largest number of entries came from participants in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Ufa.

A new feature this season was the expansion of the age range: for the first time, college and university students up to age 25 joined the high school students. Over the course of all stages of the competition, participants uploaded a total of 30,000 solutions.
