Valeria Vorobyova appointed Director of the AI Alliance

The Supervisory Board of the Artificial Intelligence Alliance approved Valeria Vorobyova as the association’s Director.

Valeria has over 18 years of experience developing economics and finance at the regional and federal levels. Since 2022, she has headed the Department of Strategic Development and Innovation at the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, where she oversaw the development of the National AI Development Strategy and the implementation of the federal project «Artificial Intelligence.»

She also coordinated the work of innovative development institutions and developed a number of mechanisms to stimulate innovation and its state support. Under her leadership, bills regulating technology development in Russia were drafted, including the Federal Law «On Technological Policy in the Russian Federation and Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation,» adopted in December 2024.

As the Alliance Director, Valeria will be responsible for implementing all of its key initiatives and coordinating the efforts of its members to accelerate the adoption of generative AI in the business sector. She faces important challenges in integrating generative AI into business and developing global collaboration through the AI ​​Alliance Network.
