Eleven new participants, including four foreign companies, have signed the National Code of Ethics for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The signing ceremony took place during the eighth international conferenceAI Journey, which is taking place in Moscow these days. The ceremony was attended by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
The signatories of the Code included four Russian companies — Rosselkhozbank, Rosbank, Avito, Embedika — and four foreign participants — from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Cuba. Also joining the Code were Plekhanov Russian Economic University, Almazov National Medical Center and Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. M. K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, said:
“Today the participants are signing the Code of Ethics in the field of AI — the first soft regulation tool in our country.Earlier more than 330 organizations, including foreign ones, joined the document. When developing AI technologies in Russia, it is necessary, first of all, to focus on the interests of citizens and ensure their information security. In 2021, we first signed the Code of Ethics with the State Key, and today we continue this tradition. Together with the participants of the Code, we will continue to create a new digital ecosystem, achieving technological sovereignty as instructed by President Vladimir Putin”.

It is important that new participants are constantly joining the alliance. This year, along with Russian companies, several international companies signed the code. Thanks to this, the work on the development of relevant ethical standards in the field of artificial intelligence covers a growing number of companies and countries”.
The National Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence was developed by the AI Alliance together with representatives of the academic community with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Among the first to sign the document were Sber, Yandex, VK, Gazprom Neft and the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as well as other leading companies and institutions. The Code of Ethics of Artificial Intelligence has already been joined by 27 foreign participants from 20 countries. The total number of signatories to the Code is over 330.
The Artificial Intelligence Alliance Association unites technology companies for the development of artificial intelligence. Among the participants of the association are Sber, Gazprom Neft, Yandex, VK, RDIF, SIBUR, Uralchem, Rusagro, Severstal, Airplane, etc.
