The AI Alliance’s database of scientific publications on artificial intelligence is now open to users.

DECEMBER 13, 2024

The AI Alliance presented an open and free resource at AI Journey 2024.

The AI Alliance opened its database of scientific publications on AI to users during the AI Journey conference’s scientific day. This open platform collects information about articles by Russian authors published at leading global scientific conferences at A*, A, and other levels, as well as in indexed journals from Q1 to Q4.

Currently, the database contains information on over 5,500 articles with Russian affiliations, published since 2014. Of these, the reference, verified dataset consists of 1,000 publications from three Russian universities—the Higher School of Economics, ITMO University, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology—from 2019 to 2024. The resource allows authors, as well as employees of universities, companies, and other organizations conducting scientific research, to register, verify, and add information to the database.

Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President and Head of Technological Development at Sberbank:

«Artificial intelligence is one of the most knowledge-intensive technologies, where progress is largely achieved by scientists. The publication database created by the Alliance will help us obtain the most comprehensive picture of scientific publications over the past 10 years, analyze trends at the level of individual organizations, research areas, and authors, and use this analysis to advance Russian science.»

Alexander Kraynov, Director of Artificial Intelligence Development at Yandex:

«We want to collect and structure the most comprehensive information possible about Russian research in the field of AI. And, of course, make it completely open without any restrictions. But this will only be possible if scientists, universities, and research laboratories support the project by contributing content to the database being created.»

The publication database currently supports article searches by author, organization, conference, and journal, without registration. The database also provides all registered users with free access to an API containing information about authors, conferences, journals, organizations, publications, and dashboards. The database includes analytics tools that, once the archive is complete, will allow for the analysis of publication activity across various parameters.
