Members of the AI Alliance are laying

As part of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026), the “Russian AI Center” booth is showcasing domestic solutions that demonstrate the country’s full technology stack—from the scientific developments of the AIRI Institute to sovereign Russian large language models. This exhibition is designed not only to showcase Russia’s cutting-edge technologies in generative AI to the world, but also to identify new areas of synergy.

It is the members of the AI Alliance who are currently forming the main foundation of Russia’s sovereign artificial intelligence, uniting the efforts of market leaders to create independent, competitive solutions.

Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the AI Alliance:

“I would especially like to note that all members of the AI Alliance together form the main foundation of Russia’s sovereign AI. Take, for example, the many generations of Yandex’s proprietary generative models. The flagship family is Alice AI, which includes the large language model Alice AI LLM, the visual-text model Alice AI VLM, the diffusion model Alice AI ART, and the search model Alice AI Search, which ensures the relevance of data in generative AI responses. Yandex, a member of the AI Alliance, is also sharing its experience in integrating generative models into recommendation systems (the ARGUS technology, which analyzes up to 8,000 events) and the results of Yandex Research—one of the most cited research labs in the world.”

By joining forces, the Alliance’s members are building the country’s technological sovereignty, and this work is not limited to flagship projects alone. Alexander Vedyakhin also noted that other members of the AI Alliance are actively developing their own generative models. According to him, these solutions are already being used by businesses and enable the effective resolution of a wide range of practical problems.

“As for other Alliance members, T-Technologies (T-Bank) has developed a line of its own high-performance models: T-Pro 2.1 (32 billion parameters), T-Lite (7 billion parameters)—a version with reasoning capabilities was released in December 2025—and T-one, a streaming ASR model for Russian speech recognition (70 million parameters), which was made publicly available in July 2025. All of these models are already available to businesses and are demonstrating strong results in the areas of knowledge, communication, and solving applied problems.”

Thus, the combined contribution of the Alliance’s members in the field of AI is becoming the foundation upon which Russia’s sovereign artificial intelligence is being built—from scientific research to finished products capable of competing on a global scale.
